Rise Foundation was born because too many boys in South Africa grow up without a single man in their corner. We exist to change that — one boy, one mentor, one camp at a time.

Where we come from

Rise Foundation was born from a simple truth: every boy deserves someone who believes in him. For too many young men growing up without fathers, that voice of encouragement is missing and the consequences shape entire lifetimes.

We saw the same story playing out across Johannesburg’s communities boys without anchors, without guidance, without a man who said “I see you, and I believe in what you can become.”

Rise Foundation exists to be that man. Multiplied.

We don't fix families. We build young men.

We can’t undo the absence. But we can step into it. Rise Foundation exists to provide what fatherlessness steals: structure, consistency, accountability, and the knowledge that someone believes in you.

We do this through mentorship relationships, structured development camps, practical skills workshops, and school-based outreach , all designed to reach boys where they are and give them what they need to rise.

Belief

Every boy who walks through our doors carries potential the world may not yet see. We choose to see it on day one, and every day after.

Consistency

A single interaction changes nothing. Showing up week after week, month after month , that changes everything. We commit to the long game.

Brotherhood

Boys heal in community. We create spaces where young men belong to something , where they are known, held accountable, and celebrated.

Accountability

We don't make excuses for boys , we give them the tools to stop needing them. Real growth requires real standards, held with grace.

Dignity

Every boy who comes to Rise is treated as someone worth investing in , not a statistic, not a project. A person with a name and a future.

Purpose

Boys without direction don't just drift , they land somewhere destructive. We give purpose: not a prescribed path, but a sense of self worth building.
